A collaborative project created by Raul Mourão in partnership with five guest artists (Lenora de Barros, Marcos Chaves, Barrão, Cabelo and Gustavo Speridião), Experienza Live Cinema was initiated in March 2017, as part of the program, Mana Residencies, in New Jersey, in the US. The project’s premise is to establish dialogs between artists with the aim of creating free experiences where individual works mix with each other and “are contaminated”, creating new works and propositions. “It’s like a game without rules between two artists, an attempt to take us out of our comfort zones, an intense exchange of images, texts, videos and audio files; experiences that merge works as in a DJ’s remix. At the end, the artists present the results of the dialogs in a happening. Experienza Live Cinema seeks a new form of collaboration between artists and a new way of interacting with the spectator.”
