In the exhibition CHÃO, PAREDE E GENTE, at LURIXS Arte Contemporânea, in Rio de Janeiro, Raul Mourão presented four kinetic sculptures in steel from the series BALANÇO. When activated, the movement of each piece has a specific timing that was incorporated as the artworks’ title.
The sculptures, suggesting home furniture, occupied the gallery’s white cube in dialogue with the original architecture of the former residence in the neighbourhood of Botafogo.
